Roscoe S Young Obituary

Carthage, IL, Nov. 30--Roscoe S. Young, 59 of Ferris was killed Thursday morning when his car went into a ditch east of Ferris. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital here at 6:30. An inquest will be held Monday.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon as 2 in the Fecht Funeral Home here in charge of the Rev. A. Harold Darley. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Augusta.

Mr. Young was born at August December 21, 1896. His parents were William and Grace Root Young. He was married to Doshia Hough at Bowen January 15, 1921.

Surviving are the widow; a son, Kenneth Young of Portsmouth, Nebraska; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Curdtis of La Harpe; Mrs. Robert Biery of Carthage; Mrs. Ray Harris of Keithsburg; and Mrs. Leonard Lyons of Altus Oklahoma; two brothers, Walter Young of Augusta and Robert Yound of Peoria; four sisters, Mrs. Al Bierly and Mrs. Earl Rutgens of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Roy Robbins and Mrs. William Swenk of Quincy.
